Grand Opening Week Schedule

June 13, 2007 7:00 amtoJune 19, 2007 9:00 pm

Jesse Moore

Sam Cooks opens on June 13 and celebrates its GRAND OPENING on June 15 and June 16. This first weeks menu will honor the tastes and food of New Orleans, the home of our special musical guest, the HooDoo Man, Jesse Moore. Both the Spanish and the French had great influence in the history and culture of the city of New Orleans and we will feature the tastes from these two countries in our first week’s menu.

images1.jpg Our prepared dinners inspired by the tastes of New Orleans:

Shrimp etouffee-from southern Louisiana, a peppery shrimp-laden sauce with onions, green peppers and celery. Served as tradition dictates over rice.

Cajun meatloaf- a beef and port meatloaf that might be served in any Cajun country home–it’s got a tabasco kick.

Creole Chicken Bonne Femme- A chicken breast with a creole sauce containing peppers, green onions, garlic and chopped ham served with sliced potatoes.

Chicken with Olives and lemon A dish Sam discovered in Paris in 1969 and has modified for Wellfleet–chicken breast with thyme, lemon and olives, served with couscous
Salmon Veronique-A classic French dish, Salmon with green grapes and a velvety vermouth sauce. Served with rice
Vegetable Gratin- a caseole of butternut squash, eggplant, tomatoes and onions with a browned bread crumb and Parmesan topping–a vegetarian offering from France.

Seafood Paella You haven’t tasted real Spain until you have had a saffron rice dish called Paella. This dish has shrimp, mussels, and clams with some chicken and the required chorizo Spanish sausage.
Pollo Al Ajillo–that means Spanish chicken with Garlic sauce. And chicken and garlic is what you get with a perfect touch of Spanish paprika. Served over steamed potatoes
Pisto Manchego (Spanish ratatouille). This is a Spanish stew of tomatoes, eggplant, zuchini, summer squash, peppers and onions. Vegetabe lovers will love our version with rice.

The above menus may change but will represent the offerings available for our prepared dinners
Each dinner will serve 2. Prices vary with the entree.
